Mark Barnes, until recently an associate director at Hamptons and a veteran of 11 years across lettings leadership roles including Head of Lettings and Senior Head of Lettings in the firm's Sevenoaks office, has left corporate agency life to join Moveli, a self-employed brokerage that says it has tripled its broker network over the past year. On the surface this is a routine personnel move. Beneath it, however, lies a structural trend reshaping how property advice — on both the sales and mortgage sides — is delivered across the UK, with consequences for landlords, developers and buyers who rely on that advice to make six and seven-figure decisions.
