Sourcing and data

Our market data is drawn from official, primary sources — principally the UK House Price Index (HM Land Registry and the Office for National Statistics), the Bank of England, and published industry research. Where we cite a figure, we identify its source and the period it relates to. House-price data on the site is updated monthly as new official releases are published.

How our articles are produced

Our news coverage is developed by the PropertyNews Desk from reporting across the property sector and official data releases. We use technology, including AI-assisted tools, to help research, draft and format articles at scale. All output is produced to these standards, and editorial responsibility for everything we publish rests with PropertyNews. We do not republish third-party articles verbatim; our coverage is original analysis and reporting.

Accuracy and fact-checking

We check figures and claims against their primary sources before publication. Market data and rates are presented as at the date of the relevant official release. Analysis and forward-looking commentary reflect our reasoned assessment at the time of writing and should not be taken as financial advice.
